Expectations.
Nathaniel Hawthorne once wrote, "No man for any considerable period can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude without finally getting bewildered as to which may be the true."From the deepest, darkest tunnel beneath the road, in the earth that was once existent, we rumbled on and up to towards the sky, along with the freeway and races to Destination, whatever that meant for the each of us, you or me, him or her. But from the moment the screeches started, and the moment that I hopped on board, I was sure, so sure with all my heart that the second we would reach the end of the tunnel, I would be awash in a magnificent, blazing, nearly blinding light shining from the ground and the sky all at once.
